Samuel Blitz Named Director of American Palestine Campaign

Samuel Blitz, well-known Zionist and communal worker, has been appointed Director of the New York American Palestine Campaign by the Executive Committee of the American Palestine Campaign, according to an announcement issued by Nathan Straus. Jr., Chairman. Mr. Blitz will immediately formulate plans for the fund-raising activities in New York City that are to be inaugurated early in 1933.

Twenty-two congregations in various cities throughout the United States will hold meetings today in connection with the annual Tour of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations.

Some 250 distinguished rabbis and laymen of the Jewish faith are to participate in the Tour which is conducted each year for the purpose of strengthening organized Judaism in the United States, and to arouse interest in American Jewry in behalf of the Hebrew Union College, the Union of American Hebrew Congregations and its various departments.

The Union Tour began on November 18th and will continue throughout the month of January.
