Samuel Bronfman, president of the Canadian Jewish Congress and noted philanthropist, has contributed the sum of $100,000 towards the reorganization of the School of Commerce of McGill University, it was reported today.
Another group of 50 Jewish refugees who have been interned in Canada for a year and a half, has returned to England, crossing the Atlantic together with a large contingent of Canadian troops, according to an official announcement made today by the authorities. Of the refugees still remaining in the two Canadian camps a number are awaiting release locally to continue their studies in various Canadian schools of higher learning.
