Samuel Bronfman, president of the Canadian Jewish Congress and chairman of the Western Hemisphere section of the World Jewish Congress, was the recipient here of the highest award of the Histadrut for services to that organization in Canada, the United States and Israel. The award, a bronze plaque, was presented to Mr. Bronfman by Bernard Bloomfield, president of the Canadian Association for Labor Israel, who praised the Canadian Jewish leader for his “high human achievement.”
