Sir Herbert Samuel will grant a pardon and release to Abu Kish, the organizer of the attack on the Jews of Petach-Tikvah in June 1921, if the Arabs will guarantee to maintain peace with their Jewish neighbors in the future. Sir Herbert gave this promise to a delegation of Sheiks who petitioned him to release their leader.
Abu Kish is serving a fifteen year sentence for his activities in connection with the Petach-Tikvah disorders.
