Samuel R. Kan, former member of the editorial staff of the Jewish Daily Bulletin, died at the University Hospital here, aged 52. He had been a member of the editorial staff of the New York Times for the last ten years.
Born in New York, he graduated New York City College with honors in 1929 and joined the old New York World where he worked for two years. Later he joined the JTA staff. For a time he worked in the press department of the American Jewish Committee, and later joined the New York Herald Tribune, where he was on the sports copy staff of the newspaper. He held the post of copy editor on the sports staff of the New York Times after he joined the newspaper in 1951.
