Samuel Zemurray, noted Jewish philanthropist and head of the United Fruit Company, has been appointed consultant to the Office of Economic Warfare to serve in an advisory capacity on export and import matters, Leo T. Crowley, Director of OEW, announced today. Mr. Zemurrary has denied that he will resign from the Fair Employment Committee on which he represents Jewish interests along with Boris Shisking labor representative. He said that he would continue with the FEPC as long as he was physically able.
