A San Francisco Jew, Frederick Burstein, who had never made any contribution to the Jewish National Fund, left $75,000 to the organization in his will with the provision that the money be used for helping children in one of the JNF border villages in Israel.
A check for $55,960 on account of the sum bequeathed was handed over to JNF officials here today by the Bank of America. The remainder will be paid later. Mr. Burstein, who was a beauty salon owner in this city, died last year. He was childless.
