The Sarajevo City Council has announced that celebrations to mark the 400th anniversary of the Sarajevo Synagogue, the oldest in Yugoslavia, will be held in July, it was reported here today from Belgrade. The City Council has invited representatives of the Sephardic Jewish Communities in Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria and Israel to join in the observance.
