An army spokesman today dismissed Arab reports that a Saudi Arabian patrol had captured the crew of an Israel airplane and the vehicle near the Gulf of Akaba.Observers here attributed the Saudi Arabian story to “the lively Arab imagination.”
According to the reports from Cairo and Saudi Arabia, the plane made a forced landing in Saudi Arabian territory. The Israel spokesman said no Israel plane was missing. He said the reports might be connected with a missing American plane which left Cairo for Jordan and has not arrived at its destination.
