With launching of a “Save America” campaign through unity of Jews and Christians against foreign aggression and fifth column activities as one of its aims, the fifty-third annual convention of the Independent Order B’rith Abraham got under way here today.
Addressing the opening session, President Stephen S. Wise of the American Jewish Congress urged that America send all help short of war to England, which he described as “the Maginot Line of the United States.” Grand Master Max F. Wolff collapsed of a heart attack shortly before the convention opened and Herman Hoffmann, First Deputy Grand Master, presided.
