A solemn declaration that the Zionists would never accept the new British policy for Palestine was made at a meeting here today and signed by Zionist leaders, including four members of the Jewish Agency for Palestine. The members declared themselves as rejecting with disgust the allegation that the Jewish National Home disturbs the Arabs living in Palestine. “We are proud that for the first time a country has been colonized without bloodshed,” they said. “We appeal to the Jewish youth to remain strong in their belief and to be ready for a call. May the Yeshub (the Jewish settlement in Palestine) be blessed, and rest assured of our full support and readiness to sacrifice all we have and our lives for our land.” The resolution was signed by Isaac Gruenbaum, H. Farbstein, Leon Lewite, and Anselm Reiss, all members of the Jewish Agency.
Although there were difficulties in view of impending elections, the Jews were allowed to hold Zionist meetings throughout Poland, and Vladimir Jabotinsky, Revisionist leader, was permitted to lecture.
