The “Felestin,” Arab publication, alleges that the Christians of Bethlehem, during the Arab general, strike last Wednesday sent a telegram stating: “The cradle of Jesus protests against the oppressive policy designed to transfer Christ’s country to his crucifiers.”
In connection with the story which aroused comment here, it is recalled that the Bethlehem Christian community rushed food to the Jews of Hebron the day after the massacre.
The Hedjaz flag will be the national emblem of the Palestine Arabs if the suggestion of the “Felestin” is adopted. The same paper also proposes that the Boy Scout Song should become the national anthem.
“Al Carmal,” Arab weekly, deplores the participation of the Moslem youth of school age in the general strike despite a recent student conference decision to leave politics to the elders.
