Polish Jewry is a reliable, loyal minority, with whom the government can easily arrive at a cordial agreement, was the statement made by Foreign Minister Zaleski, who is now visiting Portugal, in an interview with the representative of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

The Jews in Poland have no territorial demands nor do they carry on international intrigues. Minister Zaleski said. Their cultural demands, the government endeavors to satisfy.

The economic question, the Minister continued, is more delicate and cannot be solved immediately. Only experience will find a modus vivendi, and the government will give its utmost assistance.

The Minister praised the participation of Jews in the economic development of Poland, referring to Lodz as a potential Manchester. This will undoubtedly improve the Jewish position, he said.

The Minister evinced interest in the achievements of Polish Jewish artists abroad, and in the question of the Marrannos.
