Economics Minister Hjalmar Schacht, virtual financial dictator of Germany, today was reported by the London press to have taken a step which will practically eliminate the flood of Nazi propaganda beyond the borders of the Reich.

Faced by a crisis in the German economic situation, Schacht was reported today to have informed Propaganda Minister Goebbels that no more government, funds would be available to support propaganda activities in other countries. The foreign propaganda budget of Goebbels’s ministry is believed to be in the neighborhood of 200,000,000 marks annually.

Nazi activities in other countries, it is believed here, will be drastically affected by the Schacht order since they have been largely dependent on funds from within the Reich.
