Five hundred delegates are expected to attend the annual conference of the Federation of Yeshivoth and Talmud Torahs, which will open at the Broadway Central Hotel Sunday afternoon. Schools affiliated with the Federation are located in each of the five boroughs and have a combined enrollment exceeding 40,000.
Addresses will be delivered by Rabbi Israel Dushovitz, president of the Rabbinical Board of New York; Rabbi Joseph Konvitz, president of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis; Dr. Leo Jung, of West Side Jewish Center; Peter Viernik, editor of the Jewish Morning Journal; and Kalman Whitman, executive secretary of the Hebrew Principals’ Association of New York.
