IT WAS RELIABLY LEARNED TODAY THAT THE BRITISH AUTHORITIES WILL SHORTLY WORK OUT TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE NEW PALESTINE COMMISSION, WHICH THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS HAS AUTHORIZED TO MAP A DETAILED PLAN FOR THREE-WAY PARTITION OF THE HOLY LAND. NO DECISION HAS YET BEEN TAKEN ON THE COMMISSION’S PERSONNEL, WHICH WILL NOT BE APPOINTED FOR SOME TIME, IT IS UNDERSTOOD.

COLONIAL SECRETARY WILLIAM ORMSBY-GORE, REPLYING IN COMMONS TODAY TO A QUESTION BY COL. JOSIAH WEDGWOOD AS TO THE REASONS FOR THE RECENT PREVENTIVE ARRESTS IN PALESTINE OF A NUMBER OF ZIONIST REVISIONISTS, SAID THEY WERE MOTIVATED BY SUSPICION OF HAVING CONNECTION WITH ACTS OF REPRISAL.

THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT IS MAKING INQUIRIES ON REPORTED ANTI-BRITISH AND ANTI-JEWISH AGITATION IN YEMEN, THE HOUSE OF COMMONS WAS TOLD YESTERDAY BY FOREIGN SECRETARY ANTHONY EDEN.
