Scores of arrests were made by Israeli Army and police forces yesterday among Arab residents of the occupied town of Ramleh, it was revealed here today. The arrests followed a hunt for illegally hidden arms, during which a quantity of hand grenades and other weapons were found.
During the combing of Abu Gosh, Arab village on the outskirts of Jerusalem, yesterday, 30 infiltrees from the Trans Jordan-controlled area of Palestine were capture and number of smugglers and their contraband were rounded up. The smugglers will be turned over to the police for prosecution, but the infiltrees will be placed in special camps and later exchanged for Jewish prisoners of war in Arab counties.
