American investigators will start next week to screen eligible European displaced persons who may come to the United States under the DP program, Ugo Carusi, program administrator, announced today.
He said he expects the first contingent of the 205,000 who will emigrate to America during the next two years, to reach here early in October. This first vanguard will come from DP camps in the American zone of Germany, where a backlog of displaced persons has piled up, he stated.
