After a public reception in his honor yesterday at the Seattle Talmud Torah, attended by local non-Jewish notables, Rabbi C. I. Block, venerable orthodox spiritual leader of Newark, N. J. left for home this week. Rabbi M. J. Mendelowitz of Brooklyn with whom he arrived in Seattle three weeks ago to supervise kashruth arrangements for the wholesale shipment of kosher poultry to New York City, will leave Sunday. More than 300 persons joined in paying tribute to the two Eastern rabbis at the Talmud Torah fete.
