Israel Consul-General in New York, Arthur Lourie, today drew attention to the fact that the second anniversary of the establishment of the new state will fail this year on Saturday, April 22, which corresponds to the Hebrew date, the fifth of Iyar. He announced that since the anniversary falls on the Sabbath, celebrations will take place on the night of April 22 and all day Sunday, April 23. The American Zionist Council announced that the Israel anniversary will be marked Sunday evening, April 23.
