The United Nations Security Council will resume discussion of the Gaza incident Wednesday, it was announced here today. Meanwhile, British and American representatives here are known to be in constant consultation on the Egyptian-Israel border problem.
The leaders of the delegations of the two Western Powers are understood to feel that there is no use in considering any possible Council resolution regarding Gaza until they have heard Mr. Eban, who will address the Council’s session on Wednesday. However, the British and the Americans are discussing ways of strengthening the border situation, perhaps in line with some of the recommendations previously made by Maj. Gen. E. L. M. Burns, United Nations truce chief.
