A meeting of the United Nations Security Council to consider Israel’s complaint against Egypt’s “restrictions on the passage of ships trading with Israel through the Suez Canal” has been set for next Tuesday, December 7.
The meeting was called in response to a letter sent by the chief of Israel’s delegation here, Abba S. Eban, who pointed out that the Council has already received a full report on the Bat Galim incident from Gen. E, L.M. Burns, Chief of Staff of the UN Truce Supervision Organization. The last two meetings of the Council were adjourned pending receipt of such a report.
