Security meetings that Palestinian officials are holding with their Israeli counterparts do not reflect a commitment by the Palestinian Authority to halt violence, according to the Israel Defense Force’s deputy chief of staff. “Just as the Palestinians made a decision to go to violence, they must make a decision to cease it, and I still don’t see them taking that decision,” Maj. Gen. Moshe Ya’alon told Israel’s Army Radio.
