Hungarian police have stepped up security at the headquarters of the Budapest Jewish community and other Hungarian Jewish institutions after they received several bomb threats targeting the community center building.
Although the threats proved to be a hoax, police guards remained at their posts near Jewish community buildings.
They were wary of a repetition of the July 18 bombing of the Jewish community headquarters in Buenos Aires that killed more than 100 people and the July 26 bombing of the Israeli Embassy in London.
