An appeal for an immediate supply of clothing needed for the men, women, and children detained at Ellis Island, was made by the National Council of Jewish Women through its department of Immigrant Aid and Education. Mrs. Maurice L. Goldman, National Chairman of the Department, stated that this appeal is made on the basis of a report from its Social Service representative at Ellis Island.
