A delegation of the Ha-Avarah, the organization which is carrying out terms of the barter agreement between Palestine and Germany, left for Europe today to negotiate a new barter compact with the Nazi authorities.
At the same time it was announced here today in the Palestine press that the Ha’Avarah has decided not only to serve as an institution which mediates on trade between Germany and Palestine, but will itself enter into direct trading with Germany.

The Doar Hayom, a Hebrew daily newspaper, reports today that the first new business which the Ha’Avarah will start with Germany will be the importation of German irrigation pipes now needed for Palestine orange groves. Other
