A proposal to eliminate all Jewish employes from municipal institutions has been made in the city of Bialystok by the anti-Semitic faction of the National Democratic Party (Endeks) in the Municipal Council.
The proposal provoked protest on the part of the Jewish councillors and caused a heated discussion. The Mayor of the city declared that the question of municipal employes cannot be discussed by the Municipal Council because the only authority to deal with it is the Federal administrator of the city.
