The Jewish Agency’s conference with the British government is nothing more than tricky make-believe, on the part of the British government for its permanent officials, the Jewish Chronicle charges today. The fact that preparations are ostentatiously being made by the Palestine Administration for promulgating new ordinances in consonance with the White Paper shows that the government has not the slightest intention of conceding any amelioration of its policy to the Jewish people or to the Jewish protests, the Jewish Chronicle declares.
