Chief Rabbi Isaac Herzog of Palestine said today he had been informed that the New Zionist Organization was ready to participate in a round-table conference with the world Zionist organization for establishment of a united front, and added that he would do everything in his power to promote this.
“On the eve of my departure to the Holy Land, I earnestly appeal for shalom (peace) on all sides. Particularly between the old and the new Zionists,” Rabbi Herzog said in a statement. “I am informed that the N.Z.O. is prepared to attend a round-table for establishing a united front. In this critical hour I do not wish to go into details, but I fervently pray that the first move in the direction of shalom will be taken without delay. I shall do everything in my power to promote this.”
