Prizes totaling $1,000 will be awarded this year by the Louis Segal Cultural Foundation for the best student essays “dealing with significant Jewish events,” according to an announcement here today by the Farband Labor Zionist Order which sponsors the work of the Foundation.
Candidates for the awards will be chosen by several institutions of higher learning in this country and by the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Essays will be acceptable in English, Yiddish or Hebrew.
