Publication in the Jewish weekly newspaper, Opinia, of excerpts from “Jesus of Nazareth,” the life of Jesus by Dr. Gustav Klausner of St. Louis, Mo., which aroused a furor on its publication in the United States several years ago, resulted today in the confiscation by the public prosecutor of the last nine issues of the publication in which instalments of the book were published.
The public prosecutor acted at the behest of the Catholic Archbishop. Action against the publisher and against the author for insults to the Christian religion allegedly contained in the book will be taken, the prosecutor announced.
