Warning Parliament that the campaign of economic extermination being waged against the 3,500,000 Polish Jews was driving them to Communism, Deputy Emil Sommerstein today appealed to the Government to act against injustice to the Jews.
He announced that the Jewish deputies would oppose a bill granting the Government special powers.
Recalling the statement of former Prime Minister Kazimierz Bartel opposing economic anti-Semitism, he contrasted it with the speech of the present Prime Minister, Felicjan Skladkowski, who said in Parliament he could not interfere with the economic campaign against the Jews.
