Dr. Julius Lips, former professor of sociology and ethnology at the University of Cologne, who relinquished that post after Nazi persecutions of Jewish academicians, was appointed visiting associate in anthropology at Columbia University for 1934-35, according to an announcement made yesterday by Frank D. Fackenthal, secretary of the University.
Among those named to the Board of Visitors for 1934-35 at the Columbia Law School are Municipal Court Justice Bernard L. Shientag and Edward S. Greenbaum.
