United States Senator Robert F. Wagner of New York will discuss the passport legislation now before Congress in his speech at the annual meeting of Hias, which will take place Sunday, March 23, at 1 P. M., at the Hotel Astor. In accepting the invitation to address the Hias meeting, Senator Wagner declared that an energetic fight on the part of all progressive elements against the registration bill is now a vital necessity.
President Abraham Herman of the Hias will read an important message at the meeting. Addresses will also be made by John L. Bernstein, Rev. Z. Masliansky, B. Vladek, Jacob Massel, Harry Fischel, Hias treasurer, and Albert Rosenblatt, vice-president of Hias, who is also chairman of the membership committee.
