Senator Theodore Green of Rhode Island, chairman of the Senate Special Committee to Investigate Campaign Expenditures, announced that a closed session of that group today considered a request by the Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League for an investigation of the anti-Jewish resolution adopted this week by the convention of the America First Party. He did not indicate what action, if any, was taken by the committee.
The Anti-Nazi League’s plea was voiced in a telegram sent by Prof. James Sheldon, its chairman, changing “misuse of the party and other electoral processes.” The group also appealed to Attorney-General Francis Hiddle and Gov. Harry Kelly of Michigan for a probe of the America First activities.
