The United States Senate today unanimously passed a resolution urging the State Department to cooperate with the Governments of Britain, Sweden and Switzerland to send food now to the hungry people in occupied Europe.

The measure was unanimously approved by the Foreign Relations Committee in December. Open hearings on the resolution, introduced by Senators Taft and Gillette, were held in November before a special subcommittee headed by Senator Thomas of Utah. Herbert Hoover was one of the witnesses.
