The Municipal Court here will issue its verdict within a week in the first case under Massachusetts’ new race libel law, it was announced today by the presiding judge. The case involves the Rapid Service Press, Inc. which is charged with printing anti-Semitic doggerel.
The complaint against the firm was submitted by the police after four Northeastern University students had reported they saw a proof of a poem slandering Jews at the plant of the Rapid Service Press. The students were working at the time on their school paper, which the firm prints.
