Sergio Niskier is the newly elected president of Rio de Janeiro’s Jewish community. Niskier, 54, who is also a director of the Brazilian Israelite Confederation, Brazil’s Jewish umbrella organization, was elected last week by Rio’s 35,000-strong Jewish community.
