Serious street fighting, in which many persons were wounded, occurred in the Jewish quarter of Bucharest yesterday, when about 700 students, after cutting the telephone wires at the university, attacking the Jewish students and breaking windows of Jewish shops, came downtown and invaded the Ghetto.
The inhabitants, warned of an approaching pogrom, barricaded the streets and offered resistance to the invading student army, a sharp struggle resulting.
