Memorial services for the late Dr. George Alexander Kohut will be held tonight at the Jewish Institute of Religion, 68th Street near Central Park West, it was announced by Julian W. Mack, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Institute.
Dr. Kohut, a distinguished Jewish scholar and historian, was the son of Rebekah and the late Dr. Alexander Kohut. He died on December 31, 1933. Services will be held under the auspices of the American Academy for Jewish Research, Dropsie College, American Jewish Historical Society, Hebrew Union College, Jewish Institute of Religion, Jewish Theological Seminary, and the Yale University Library.
