The body of Julius Tishman, New York builder and real estate operator who died at Miami, Fla., Wednesday, January 9, is being sent to New York for burial. Services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at B’nai Jeshurun Synagogue. Dr. Israel Goldstein will officiate. Interment will be at Salem Fields.
Mr. Tishman has been active in real estate since 1890. The present firm of Julius Tishman & Sons was founded in 1914.
Active in many charities Mr. Tishman was instrumental in the construction and support of the Suydenham Hospital.
He leaves a widow and four sons, Davis, Alexander, Paul and Norman.
Bishop Gallus, uncle of Gregory of Tours, was mourned by the Jews when he died in 551.
