A Catholic prelate, described as an expert on the Near East, has reported to U.S. Catholic bishops that there is “absolutely no possibility for peace” in that area until the Palestine Arab refugees are resettled. The report was made by Monsignor Peter P. Tuohy to the annual session of U.S. Catholic bishops.
Monsignor Tuohy is president of the Pontifical Mission for Palestine Refugees and national secretary of the Catholic Near East Welfare Association. He is a priest of the Archdiocese of Boston but maintains offices in New York.
