Funeral services for Leon A. Harris, vice-president of a Dallas, Tex., department store, were being arranged here yesterday.
Mr. Harris died Saturday, his forty-ninth birthday, at 210 Madison avenue. The store, A. Harris & Company, was founded by his father. The health of the deceased had been affected recently, apparently from overwork, and on Friday night Dr. Henry M. Winans, his physician here, held a telephone consultation with Dr. M. A. Rothschild, Dallas heart specialist.
Mrs. Harris, who has been abroad, is expected here on Tuesday. Her husband had come here to meet her. Two children, Fannie and Leon, also survive. Mrs. Harris is the former Lucille Herzfeld of this city.
The body of Mr. Harris lay yesterday at the Universal Funeral Chapel, 597 Lexington avenue.
