Seven Jewish representatives were elected to the Polish Senate in the national election which took place Sunday, March 11, final retams show.
Five of the Jewish senators were elected on the ticket of the national minorites bloc, 1 on the Zionist ticket in Glicia and 1 on the pro-government ## Among those elected are Moses Koerner, Joseph Davidsohn, a brother of the late Dr. Noah Davidsohn, Rabbi Isaac Rubinstein, Mizrachist, Zemach Stabad, Solomon Moses Budziner, David Schreiber, and Lazar Dal, chairman of the Jewish Merchants Association in Vohlyn who was elected on the government ticket.
Of the 111 senators the pro-government party secured 49 seats, the national minorities bloc 22, the Polish Socialist Party, 9, the National Democrats 9, the Peasant party, Wyzwolene, 7, the Cristian Democrats 6. The Orthodox Agudath Israel and the Volkist group mder Prylucki suffered defeat.
