Seven non-Jewish Poles were honored this week for their volunteer work in preserving Polish Jewish heritage. The honorees included individuals who maintain Jewish cemeteries and local exhibitions on Jewish culture and history. They include the former mayor of Bialystok, who oversaw the renovation of plaques in the city marking Jewish historical places.
