Seventeen Jews were arrested in front of the Israeli Consulate in San Francisco after they protested Israeli military actions. Citing what they call Israel’s collective punishment of those in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip as reason for their protest, they also called for an end to the 39-year-old “illegal, immoral and unjustified occupation” of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and eastern Jerusalem.
