The seventh new Jewish settlement to be established here since the beginning of the Jewish year on Sept. 30 was formally opened today at Hamma near Yavneh. The colony has been founded by the “Haoved Hazioni,” a labor group, and will accommodate sixty to seventy families. Its 1,600 dunams of Jewish National Fund land will be devoted to mixed farming. Equipment and funds have been advanced by the Palestine Foundation Fund.
