Seventy-five European lawmakers asked the European Union president to impose a travel ban on Iran’s president. The petition is aimed, in part, at preventing Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from traveling to next week’s soccer World Cup in Germany, although Ahmadinejad’s spokesman said earlier this week that he would not be traveling to the event.
