Several hundred people gathered in Berlin to mark the 66th anniversary of Kristallnacht. The meeting took place in the Jewish community center in the German capital, built on the site of a synagogue that was burned to the ground on Nov. 9-10, 1938, when marauding bands of Nazis and their sympathizers destroyed synagogues and shops belonging to Jews across Germany and Austria.
