Several Soviet Jews were injured and at least one was hospitalized when police forcibly ended their attempt to block heavy traffic deliberately diverted past Moscow’s central synagogue on Arkhipov Street on Rosh Hashanah eve, the Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry reported today. This time, Jews laid down in the street in front of the synagogue but were dragged away by police.
